THEAmericanPatriot asked: Based on these facts, is President Obama making a rational decision or is he jeopardizing American lives?
Mohamed:
• Trained at various Al-Qaida training camps, where he specialized in firearms and explosives
• Was taught by senior Al-Qaida leaders how to falsify documents
• Received money from Al-Qaida leaders to travel to the United States
• Had plans to blow up high-rise apartment buildings in the United States
• Held meetings with Saif al Adel (a top level al Qaida planner and leader) and Khalid Sheikh Mohammad (Mastermind of 9/11 attacks)
• Attempted to illegally enter the United States on April 4, 2002, but was turned away due to his forged passport
This is a dangerous outrage, and the media is protecting Obama by keeping this off the news.
This is the type of person the liberals want released from the prison at Gitmo (the BASE is not to be closed, only the PRISON).
President Obama plans on releasing Binyam Mohamed this week.
Na Pomo? asked:
I will be traveling to Eindhoven in April from the US and would like to catch a few of the NBA games on TV while I am there. I will be staying near the train station and football stadium. Are there any sports bar near that area that show American sports, particularly NBA games? Thanks.
ARKdeEREH asked: I originally wanted to travel from Thailand to Vietnam by train, but there isn’t one all the way through. I could, however, take a train from Bangkok to the Mekong River and then theoretically take a boat down the river through Cambodia and Vietnam to get to Saigon/Ho Chi Minh City, and then use to Vietnamese trains from there.
I know this would work in a world without borders (which unfortunately doesn’t exist in real life). Is it possible for me to legally cross the borders via the Mekong? If so, are there any complications (like need to get a visa in advance or in a different way then normal for instance)?
Also, what is the legality of going the other way on the Mekong River and using it to enter China?
Thanks!
Ignatius asked: I’m American and will be traveling into Romania in a few weeks by train. We will be staying in the capital, but are open to day trips if anyone has a suggestion for something cool nearby.
I keep hearing mixed reviews of the country, which seem to stem from a shady past and more recent improvements. Has anyone been there recently that can tell me what to expect?
Carol C asked: Hi all….
I will be in Dusseldorf (Germany) for 5 days and had another day that I was planning on taking a day trip….say leave very early in the morning and come back at night….Any recommendations where I should go? From looking at the map…it seems like Amsterdam, Brussels and Frankfurt are all close by cities….where should I go? I want to sight see and pretty much open to whatever…..I am a 30 year old woman, American and traveling alone….My travel motto is “when in Rome, do like the Romans”….so I don’t need anything fancy….just want to take advantage that I am in Europe and since I will see Dusseldorf for 5 days, I can get out and see something else! By the way, I see the ICE train is the way to travel there!
Any tips or recommendation are truly appreciated!!! thank you!
stormibays asked: I will be going to Japan in late March , Early April and I am wondering….
1. What would you do in Tokyo if you had just 1 1/2 days of free time (I’m doing a tour and this is our only exploring time?)
2. Are subway/trains the same and are they easy to use for the American speaker? - Signs in English? Peole who work there speak english?
3. Is it easy to take a train to Kamakura and back. Is it walkable from the train station and how long should I budget for this? How long is the train?
4. What are the names of some big chain grocery type of stores in Tokyo that there are many of? Do they typically accept credit cards?
5. Will the cherry blossoms be blooming in Tokyo, Kyoto, Hiroshima, Nara at the end of March beginning of April ( 2 week time frame)
3.
I’ve navigated subway systems in New York, London and Paris (pain in the **** but doable) , Will the Japanese systems be similar or harder?

fateridder asked: If I was elected I would -
1 shut down all international travel both in and out , until we have real security and not the illusion of security we currently have
2 pull the troops out of Russia because there not a threat to us and station them along the Mexican border with orders of shoot to kill , while that is going on I would put up a wall with watchtowers and skydrones and a mine field . Troops stay to maintain and man the border .
3 take out all terrorist sanctuaries using tactical weapons
4 make English the official language
5 fine all people who hire illegal’s a fine of 500,000 and 30 years in prison - no exceptions
6 execute all pedophiles
7 using drugs - death penalty , carrying drugs - death penalty , selling - death penalty etc. etc.
8 allow Americans to have guns but limit the kind of guns they can have such as - machine guns
9 take out all street gangs under Rico statutes and I do mean all
10 construct a train system that goes to every major city in America , sort of like the Euro Rail
11 Iraq , take all troops out and level the whole thing showing the world , when America is threatened - you will lose !
any comments ?
flourish - I thank you for your response however you didnt understand the full question , you do however have some good responses
Blood On My Hands asked:
Alright so, basically…. I don’t know at all how to start this shitt. o.o
Here is what it’s telling me to do.
“Describe how you felt on May 10th, 1869, when the golden spike was driven at Promontory, Summit, Utah, to celebrate the completion of the First Transcontinental Railroad. Pretend you are either a settler planning to use the train to travel to your new home in the West, an Irish or Chinese worker who helped build the line, or a Native American whose way of life was greatly affected by the railroad.”
I just literally need help on what to do for the introductory. Then from there, I can probably take it, and finish it.
The minimum words is 600. The max is 1000.
It’s due next Friday. So I got time.
Ughhh, I just started doing this and I’m already stressing like a **** load. D:

Rahul J asked: Im an American staying in India for 3months. I’ve been traveling around just for the hell of it, making no plans in advanced. So as expected, I’d have to commute in the General Compartment on the trains (since reservations need to be made in advance). When I boarded an intercity Hyderabad, with enormous difficulty (crows are crazy there), I saw something peculiar. Most of the seats had a handkerchief on it. I was stunned, since I didn’t really see anyone getting off the train, so where could all those people who had supposedly left the handkerchief have disappear to! I stood there for a while, being shoved front and back. I noticed that even the seats with the handkerchief were being filled, so I too sat on one of those seats. Then there was a small dark guy going around collecting money from everyone who sat on a handkerchiefed seat. When he came to me, he was talking in Telugu, and couldn’t understand a word of English or Hindi. I was asking him why I should pay for it. My Hindi isn’t too great either, so I couldn’t really ask the people around me. That little dude got frustrated at me not paying, so went off to another carriage. I thought that was it. Minutes later, he came back with 6 other guys, who were not so small! Since I wasn’t a local there, I decided its probably best to pay up..I gave in 10 rupees. Not much I know..but it seemed like fraud to me, which is why I was furious. What do you think?
PS: I already bought my ticket. And that dude isn’t the ticket inspector either.
i asked this question before, but just want to see if I can get more responses.
